B Zone B · Bin Map

Know what is in every bin, who owns it and when it expires.

The bin map is the live picture of your floor. Each bin shows the client, SKU, batch, expiry and quantity, so the oldest stock leaves first and nothing sits forgotten on a top shelf.

How it runs on the floor

Bin Map, step by step.

  1. B1

    Map the floor

Create zones, aisles, racks, levels and bins once. Import an existing bin list from a spreadsheet if you have one.

  2. B2

    Set bin types

Mark pick faces, reserve, bulk floor, chill, frozen, quarantine and returns, each with size and weight limits.

  3. B3

    Stock lands

Inbound putaway fills the bins. Each unit carries its client, batch, expiry and receiving date.

  4. B4

    Stock moves

Replenishment, transfers and slotting moves are scanned bin to bin, so the map stays exact.

  5. B5

    Stock counts

Schedule cycle counts. Variances need a supervisor reason before the stock figure changes.

What is in this zone

Built for the way 3PL floors actually work.

Bin-level stock

Search by SKU, batch, bin or client. See every location a SKU sits in and how many units are in each.

Batch and expiry

Track batch and expiry by unit. Pick lists always point to the earliest expiry that meets the client's shelf-life rule.

Cold storage

Chill and frozen bins only accept SKUs marked for that temperature. Temperature logs can be recorded against the room.

Replenishment

When a pick face drops below its minimum, a replenishment task from reserve goes to the next free handheld.

Cycle counting

Count by aisle, by client, by ABC class or only bins touched today. Blind counts are available.

Holds and quarantine

Put a batch on hold for a recall or quality check. Held stock cannot be picked until it is released.

FLOOR NOTES
  • Shelf-life rules per client: for example, ship to a marketplace only if 70 percent of shelf life remains.
  • Mixed-client bins are allowed or blocked per warehouse.
  • Stock ageing reports per client feed directly into storage billing.
Zone B questions

Asked at the bin map.

Q01Can two clients share a bin?

You decide per warehouse. Many 3PLs block it on pick faces and allow it on bulk floor. Each unit still belongs to exactly one client.

Q02Does it handle serial numbers?

Yes. Mark a SKU as serialised and every scan from receiving to dispatch records the serial number.

Q03How do we start if our current bins are in spreadsheets?

Import bins and opening stock from CSV. We map your columns during setup and run a count to confirm the opening figures.
